If your vehicle is 3 years or older you are required to have an MOT test by law every year so the vehicle is ensured to meet the minimum safety level required. An inspection will be carried out and the vehicle will be checked for faults, each test is recorded accordingly, if the vehicle passes then a certificate will be issued.

An MOT Certificate relates to the condition of the car at the time of the test. The result of not having an up to date MOT could result in a fine.
